After Prosenjit its time for Saswata to play Netaji on screen
After Prosenjit Chatterjee in ‘Gumnaami’, its time for Saswata Chatterjee to portray role of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Saswata will play the iconic figure in the upcoming Bengali film ‘Swastik Sonket’ which is going to be directed by Sayantan Ghoshal. According to reports the audience will see the re-enactment of the meeting between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Adolph Hitler in 'Swastik Sonket'.
Nusrat Jahan will be seen as Rudrani in the movie
Gaurav Chakrabarty will be seen as Priyom in the movie
The film which is based on the Novel ‘Norok Sonket’ authored by popular author Debarati Mukherjee will see actress turned MP Nusrat Jahan playing the role of Rudrani while Gaurav Chakrabarty will be seen in the role of Priyom. This is the first time Nusrat and Gaurav has been paired together.
Sayantan Ghoshal will direct Swastik Sonket
The story of Norok Sanket which is being turned into script by Sougata Basu will follow the protagonist Rudrani and Priyom’s quest for a secretive formula to an anti-virus which was developed by a German scientist during World War II. The virus was developed to be used Nazi-Germany’s enemies but the scientist chose to infect the Nazi Army instead and hid the anti-virus. According to Rudrani and Priyom’s research that anti-virus can help to provide cure for the Noble Corona virus.
Rudranil Ghosh will play a vital character in the movie
Rudranil Ghosh has also been casted in an interesting character and his character will a vital connection to the past.
The shooting will start at the end of September in London.
