It seems that the cast of Rudrabinar Obhisaap , one of the more awaited Bengali web series had to go through a lot of challenges to perfect their respective characters.
Vikram Chatterjee, in a conversation with Glamtrek, talked about the addition to his Character Alaap in the web series Rudrabianr Obhishaap. Vikram said, “Alap has much more challenges in this series than in the previous one. Alaap is facing a major tragedy in his personal life which he needs to handle. At the same time, he is facing a fierce competition from a rival in respect of musical skills. This is one crisis he did not face in Tansener Tanpura. “

When Glamtrek asked Vikram about the challenges he had faced during the shoot, the actor said, “We were shooting in Purulia during the summer months. The weather was extremely hot. I was having a very high fever at that time but could not let my bad health take toll as we had very important scenes to be shot. Thanks to my director as well as the shooting team who helped me to pull off the scenes.”
About his growing on-screen chemistry with Rupsha, Vikram said, “The chemistry between our characters Alap and Shruti has become deeper in Rudrabinar Obhishaap. In Tansener Tanpura, the characters fell in love and now audience will see them getting engaged. So their relationship has gone a step further. Shruti has become a very important support system for Alap now. And how Shruti helps Alap to deal with this crises in this series is also a very important aspect of Rudrabinar Obhishaap.”

Rupsha Chatterjee who plays the female lead Shruti in Rudrabinar Obhishap said that shooting empty stomach was the biggest challenge for her.
“ My biggest challenge during shooting was to tolerate the hunger pangs as I was not allowed to eat and had to shoot empty stomach” Rupsha told Glamtrek jokingly.
“Jokes apart, he biggest challenge for me was to shoot do not know how to play guitar. The biggest challenge for me was to enact playing guitar for my character Shruti and make it look convincing enough.” added Rupsha.

About her more memorable moments during the shoot of Rudrabinar Obhishaap, she said “We were shooting a song sequence in Purulia. And there were lot of tourists around. They had to face some inconvenience due to the shoot and so they were all complaining. They were all shouting that the place owes them more as tourism is the mainstay of the place. I had to manage them by telling them that everything was being done for them only. I told them that even the series is being made for them to watch only. Handling the crowd was a memorable experience.”

Actor Saurav Das will be seen as Vikram’s on screen rival in Rudrabinar Obhishaap. He is playing the role of Nadir, a very bright musician with an equally dark side.

When Glamtrek asked him about the lesser known side of his character, he said, “Nadir has very long nails. I had to grow nails for few months for that. Nadir also does a very peculiar thing which will be revealed in the series. And last but not the least Naad is more evil than one can imagine.
About the memorable moments during the shoot he said, “ The entire shoot had been memorable. The beautiful locations we visited, the lovely crew we had, the script and the challenges we faced everything comes together to make the shooting experience memorable. I do not know how to swim but still had to swim from one place to another. That was too a memorable thing for me.”
About the biggest challenge Saurav faced during the shoot was lip syncing the songs.
“The songs were brilliant. I started my career as a singer and thus I know how to sing or what kind of attitude a singer should show. But these songs in Rudrabinar Obhishaap was really tough to lip sync. That was the biggest challenge for me.” Said Saurav.

Rani Rashmoni famed young actress Ditipriya Roy who starts her journey into Web series through Rudrabinar Obhsishaap is playing a very interesting character. About her character Ditipriya said, “I am playing the role of Naaz , musician who plays Flute and Shanai. I had to learn playing both and for that I went through an intense workshop.”
About the most challenging moment of the shoot Ditipriya said, “There was a sequence where I had to start crying while playing shaanai. Doing that was a very demanding thing.”

Rudrabinar Obhishaap has been written by Sougata Basu and has been ditrected by Joydeep Mukherjee. The web series is currently streaming on Hoichoi OTT platform
