Ghosts of Past often comes back to haunt people. Perhaps the most common type of such Ghosts is those of past relationships. The recently launched trailer of upcoming Bengali movie ‘Ei Ami Renu’ hints that the movie is going to be a story of a turbulent marriage life of the protagonist Renu which is played by Sohini Sarkar.

The trailer launch event of the film which happened at a pub in Kolkata saw the presence of actress Sohini Sarkar, Alivia Sarkar, director Saumen Sur and other cast and crews of the films. The lead male actors Soham Chakrabarty, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Anindya Chatterjee and Kaushik Ganguly gave the events a miss due to other commitments.
During the event Sohini said, “The movie Ei ami Renu is based on the Samaresh Majumdar’s novel of same name. To all of those whom I have spoken to about this novel seems to love the story very much and hence they are eagerly waiting to watch this movie.”
“Nowadays relationships are very much based and structured by Mobile phone culture. But this story is set at a time when love was expressed in a different way. Love Letters used to play a major role in expressing one’s feelings for others. So I really hope that audience will love to travel back to those times through this movie and they will enjoy watching it.” Added Sohini.
Alivia Sarkar
‘Ki Kore toke Bolbo’ and ‘Montu pilot’ famed actress Alivia Sarkar was looking gorgeous in a sleeveless green kurta during the event. The actress who plays a pivotal role in the movie said “I play the role of Jhuma, one of the close friends of Renu. Jhuma is among the group of four close friends from where the story originates. We have completed the shoot of this movie despite so many obstruction and difficulties. Hope our hard work will be appreciated by the audience.”
Director Saumen Sur seemed very excited about the positive feedbacks he recieved about the trailer. The director said, "I am very happy to see that people are loving the trailer. The praises from the audience are giving me confidence that they will love the movie too. I would like to request everyone to return to halls and catch our movie on big screen."

Dancer/actor Madhurima Mukherjee who plays the role of an important family member in the movie turned anchor for the evening and ensured the smooth flow of the event proceedings.
